Besides offering loading machines for truck or railway wagon loading, Maschinenfabrik Moellers also offers products for transporting larger load units. With the aid of a fork lift truck, instead of a single bag, a package of up to 2.2 tons is transported.

“Having bigger load units, it is much faster to load and unload your transport carrier,” says Markus Haasner from Maschinenfabrik Moellers. “By interlocking bag layers, you achieve a stability of a pallet stack, which you may not achieve with manual stacking. With proper load securing systems using shrink film or stretch film technology your goods can easily withstand all forces applying to them during transport,” he adds.

In order to reduce handling costs, palletless systems are also made available by the company. “Using stretching systems in this regard has been proven to be one of the most cost effective way (and the most environmental friendly) to ship larger load units. Trials have proven that these load units are also able to withstand transportation on bad roads as well as by railway or ship,” states Haasner.

The use of automatic bagging machines with automatic bag-placing reduces the need of personnel and the chance of mistakes. “Using automatic systems without human interference can change the way you handle your bags and the whole logistics chain,” Haasner concludes.
