Bosch Packaging Technology has launched the new Miniwrap BVK 1200 candy wrapping machine in India, which will be available in market from the first quarter of 2010, and will be built in India, for the global market.

The BVK 1200 is a cost-effective and proficient solution for customers seeking higher production speed and increase in Overall Efficiency Equipment (OEE), especially in the B and C segment markets. With an output speed of 1200 candies per minute and attributes like servo drive to achieve drive pattern, it is ideal for wrapping candies. Also, the touch screen panel offers easy operator interface, making trouble shooting and operation very simple. One of the many USPs of the product is that it has remotely programmable PLC and OP via ethernet.

Sharing his enthusiasm on the launch, V. K. Viswanathan, Managing Director, Bosch India said, “We are very happy to introduce the BVK 1200 in the Indian market. What makes it notable is that it will be manufactured in India for the global market.” Ashok Gourish, Business Head, Bosch Packaging Technology India added “We already have the BVK 2000, the fastest candy wrapping machine in the world, which can pack 2000 candies per min and by adding the BVK 1200 to our product portfolio, we are offering our customers more choice to make their business effective and efficient.”

The BVK 1200 can be used to wrap a range of products like hard-boiled and deposited candies, coated balls, chicklets, plain and coated chewing gums. It can be used for products shaped round, oval, square, rectangular and spherical. The BVK 1200 is available with the options of second reel carrier, coding device, rejection system and vacuum discharge of empty packs.
