PackPlus
2009
The evolution of India’s ‘Total’ Packaging Event
The curtains
rise on the 2009 edition of India's fastest evolving Packaging exhibition.
Positioned as the complete packaging, processing and supply chain
event, PackPlus 2009 will comprise of ten niche shows and four distinct
zones. Scheduled from 8- 11 July, 2008, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi,
PackPlus will be spread over 20,000 m2 of space catapulting the
event to a new height. “As technologies evolve at a furious
pace and processes get automated and synchronised, a collaborative
environment becomes a necessity. A visitor may be a specialist in
just one segment but has a more than peripheral interest in the
entire supply chain. This is the rationale to bring the various
segments onto one platform,” says Anil Arora on behalf of
the organisers.
The Packaging
Zone will showcase the India Packaging Show. It will have exhibitors
displaying packaging machines and equipment like coding and on-line
printing machines, foiling, capsuling, feeding and labeling machines,
packaging containers, packaging materials, closing and sealing
materials, label and package converters, package designers and
consultants and testing materials and software.
Visitors to
the Packaging zone will include brand owners and users of packaging
from all industries with focus on food pharma, personal care and
organised retail.
The Converting
Zone will feature the India Converting Show, India Flexo Show
and India Corrugated Show. The zone will have exhibitors displaying
package printing, converting and finishing equipment as well as
corrugated box making machinery, together with materials and services
used by the package converters and corrugated box makers.
This zone
will target corrugated box makers, printers and convertors of
flexible packaging and cartons.
India Automation
Show, Food Technology Show and Pharma Technology Show will come
together in The Processing Zone. The exhibiting segments will
include technology, equipment, materials and solutions for production
and processing of food and pharmaceuticals. Automation for industry,
factory & processes, motion drives and robotics that has applications
across industries with special focus on packaging and processing
of food and pharma will be the segments on display in the Automation
show.
This zone
will attract visitors across all industry segments with specific
focus on food and pharma technology including providers of equipment,
machine and solutions to this industry.
The Supply
Chain Zone will comprise of India AIDC Show, India Logistics Show
and India Retail Show. Integrators and providers of bar code,
RFID and card technologies, shopfit & design, retail technology,
signage, integrators of supply chain systems, cold chain, ware
housing systems, material handling and weighing, software and
services will exhibit in this zone.
The visitors
to this segment will again be across all industry segments with
special focus on food, pharma, logistics and organised retail.
Adding value
to the main event will be the concurrently held PackAge Conference
and the AIMCAL Converting School, which will be back for a third
consecutive year. “Existing exhibitors are coming back with
bigger stalls while there have been many new sign-ups as well.
All this points to an even bigger show in the making,` said Neetu
Arora on behalf of the organisers.
