LyondellBasell Increases Polypropylene Resin Prices
LyondellBasell Industries, a producer of polymers and petrochemicals, will increase the European prices of all of its polypropylene resins by EUR200 (£158) per tonne on 1 August.
LyondellBasell's polypropylene resins are marketed under the trade names Adflex, Adsyl, Softell and Hifax.
The resins are used by customers to produce applications in the packaging, building and construction, compounding and automotive industries.
Paul Yeates, senior vice president of LyondellBasell's advanced polyolefins business, said, `Escalating feedstock, energy and transportation costs continue to erode our margins which necessitate this increase.`
LyondellBasell Industries, headquartered in the Netherlands, is privately-owned by Access Industries.
