Glenmark, Merck Tie Up
Soon after signing a royalty deal with investment fund Paul Royalty to finance the development of 16 dermatological products in the US market, Glenmark Pharmaceutical (UK) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd has inked a deal with Generics (UK) Ltd, part of the Merck Generics Group. The agreement is for the joint development, filing and marketing of eight generic dermatological products in Europe. These eight products have current annual sales of around $225 million in the region, a media release said. As per the agreement, Glenmark will develop, manufacture and supply the products while both the companies would be responsible for their own sales and marketing.
