Ranbaxy to manufacture -Teva to sell
Comapnies strike distribution deal.
Ranbaxy Laboratories has signed an agreement with Teva Pharma for the supply and distribution of Quinapril tablets. The drug will be manufactured by Ranbaxy and sold in US under the Teva label.
According to the contract both firms will enjoy equal profits. The drug is a generic equal of Parke Davis’ anti hypertensive agent Accupril and has annual sales of approximately $555 million.
