Glenmark SA Unit Buys Drug Rights From P D Pharma
Co to initially sell the products within South Africa only
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd' South African unit has acquired the rights to seven drugs from P D Pharmaceuticals (Pty) Ltd for an undisclosed sum.
The drug maker said the products were expected to garner combined sales of $2-3 million in 2006-07.
Bouwer-Bartlett (Pty) Ltd, Glenmark's subsidiary, would initially sell the products within South Africa but later expand to other countries.
The products included anti-diarrhoeal, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, expectorant, anti-protozoal, anti-acid and multi-vitamin drugs.
