    Pharma exporters to `excel`- promises export promotion body.
Pharmexcil to conduct survey to tap export opportunities.


The newly- formed pharma export promotion body, Pharmexil, is already getting down to business. The body is planning to conduct a market survey on export potential of the domestic industry.

``There are tremendous opportunities for pharma exporters however, the potential is still to be recognized,`` said PV Appaji, Executive Director, Pharmexil. “With the concern to tap this potential, we are looking out for either Indian or foreign marketing consultants, who can conduct a market survey on opportunities.,” added PV Appaji.

Since the survey is also expected to contain all information about pharma exports and financial assistance open to the exporters, the body plans to take the proposed survey reports, to the ministry of commerce and industry and also circulate it amongst the body members.

Appaji also said that based on the council’s recommendation, a member van avail assistance for registrations of patent. Further on, the product registrations in the other countries, the member can avail of 50% reimbursement by the government any limitation on export turnover.
