NZ bans import of Dabur honey

Home grown FMCG major Dabur India has approached APENDA to take up its case with the authorities in New Zealand, where a quarantine alert was raised last week after honey produced by the company was found on sale in Auckland, despite a ban.

It was last week when Kiwi officials started tracking down the entry of Dabur Honey, when its sale was reported in local ethnic shops.

Mr. S Dave, Director, agricultural and Processed Food Products, Export Development Authority (APEDA) confirmed saying in a newspaper that it would ask New Zealand why it had banned the import of honey and it will also seek the help of its foreign commission to take up the issue with the concerned Kiwi authorities.
