    Pack A `Triple` Punch
India Packaging Show, Food Technology Show and Pharma Technology Show together at New Delhi in 2006

Print- Packaging.com (P) Ltd. has announced a triple event in 2006.
India Packaging Show, Food Technology Show and Pharma Technology Show will come together as one event from 1st – 4th September 2006 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The portal for the Indian printing, packaging and signage industries, Print-Packaging.com, over the years has evolved as organizers of shows that serve niche segments. The shows organised by the company so far have seen the coming together of the entire industry - the printers and converters, the suppliers and the packaging buyers on a single platform over the period of the event. The accompanying conferences have also helped in bringing the focus on to the challenges and opportunities in the industry.

The Indian economy is one of the fastest growing economies of the world today. The well off middle class of over 250 million people is driving the growth in various sectors of the economy. The impact of globalisation and the WTO regime is also seeing a structural change happening in these sectors. Food, pharmaceutical and retailing are witnessing some of the most dynamic trends and also representing the maximum opportunities. In turn, these sectors have a dramatic impact on the packaging industry.

Indian food industry is worth over US $400 billion and there is large untapped potential. With growing consumer interest in processed and convenience food, the industry is growing at over 20% per annum.

With lowest production costs in the world, the Indian pharmaceutical industry is fourth in ranking in volume. It is worth US $5 billion and is well placed to seize the opportunity in generic drugs going off- patent in the USA between 2005 and 2009. With FDA approved plants, Indian companies can become a global outsourcing hub for pharmaceutical products.

Mirroring these trends, the India Packaging Show 2006 promises to provide a forum to these industries to discuss and disseminate information and display products. It will be supported by an international conference for the packaging industry that will host the best of the industry presenting their papers on the emerging trends in packaging sector. There will be a sustained pre- event campaign covering several cities all over India and abroad to promote the show.

The exhibitors` profile covers the entire range of packaging machine, materials, services, food technologies and pharmaceutical technologies. ``We will be bringing the expertise of print-packaging.com in organizing dedicated shows in niche segments to the triple show. Over the next two years, you can expect a lot of information to flow about the trends and happenings in these segments and it should all culminate in a grand event where all those connected to these industries can come together for the four days at New Delhi,`` promises Anil Arora on behalf of the organizers.
