    FABA to be launched at BioAsia ’05.

The Federation of Asian Biotech Association (FABA) as decided earlier in BioAsia 2004, will be launched in Hyderabad during the second edition of BioAsia 2005. The association, which is a collective effort of eight countries, will have its secretariat in Hyderabad.

The conference, which will be held from 10th to 12th February 2005, will witness the convergence of both academicians and industry experts from the national and international arena.

The conference will also acknowledge the outstanding efforts of distinguished scientist and also give a special award, ‘Genome Valle Excellence Award,’ this award will be presented to Dr William Haseltine, President of Haseltine association and founder of Human Genome Science.

The meet, with a central theme of ‘How Asia can be benefited in the biotech sector?’, will play host almost thirty countries. The topic for discussion includes regeneration medicine, outsourcing the development of biological, safety issues in biotech drug clinical trials, et al.
