The Successful India Packaging Meet Sets Tone For The Upcoming Events
India Packaging Show and India Converting Show visitor campaign gets an edge.

India Package Meet 2011, the week-long sojourn traversing through the most industrialised and flourishing regions of the state of Gujarat, concluded successfully on 10 September 2011. Following a vibrant trail of opportunity, the roving event of Print-Packaging.Com (P) Ltd., attracted 150+ visitors at Vapi, 250+ visitors at Ahmedabad and 200+ visitors at Rajkot.

The event comprised of a half-day conference focused on technological developments in packaging & package printing and a day long table top exhibition showcasing products & services from 30+ exhibitors at each venue.

The Conference at Vapi, the first destination of the event, had a ceremonial beginning with the lighting of the lamp at the hands of Ashok Shukla, President, Vapi Industries Association; Vijay Mishra, President, Daman Industries Association; Vijay Shah, Chairman, All India Food Processors Association (Baroda Chapter) and Anup Wadwa, Director, Automation Industry Association (AIA).

At Ahmedabad, Devanshu L Gandhi, Managing Director, Vadilal Industries Ltd. and P V Sivaram, B&R Industrial Automation were the special guests at the inaugural function.

The conference at Rajkot, the final venue of the event, was inaugurated by Vasant Bhai Jivani, President, Saurashtra Plastic Manufacturers Association and Kishor Sanghvi, President, Rajkot Plastic manufacturers Association.

“At one level, the meet takes the packaging event to the grassroots- where the packaging is made and consumed and at another level it serves to whet the attendees’ appetite to visit the International events that we organize in Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad’, said Anil Arora, President, Print-Packaging.com (P) Ltd who also gave a presentation about the company’s upcoming events later in the year.

The technical sessions at each of the venues were carried by distinguished speakers from the industry including KVA Naidu, Cyklop Packaging Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd.; Rakesh Shah, Windmoller & Holscher India Pvt Ltd.; Kishor Butani, Robatech India Pvt. Ltd.; Mohan Pailwan, Creed Engineers Pvt. Ltd.; Ignatius Selvaraj, Pepperl + Fuchs (India) Pvt. Ltd.; P V Sivaram, B&R Industrial Automation Pvt. Ltd.; Lalit Jain, Siemens Ltd.; Harveer Sahni, Weldon Celloplast Ltd.; Avinash Bangale, BOSCH Ltd. and Deven Mehta, Rajoo Engineers Ltd.

“Vapi, being a small industrial cluster, does not see many trade events organized in this area. India Package Meet was my first hand experience with a packaging conference & exhibition and I must say it was great learning process for me. The speakers were very co-operative in helping us understand the technical aspects of their presentations by using easy terms and sharing case studies,” said Jatin Shah from Shah Print & Pack Industries.
